These Individual Parkin Loaves are the perfect size for one person, There are various ways to enjoy Yorkshire Parkin. Spread it with a little butter and enjoy with a cup of tea. Eat it as a pudding with delicious caramel sticky sauce or smother it with strawberries & cream. This Seriously Good Yorkshire Parkin is baked to Lottie Shaw’s 100 year old family recipe. This unique ginger cake is baked using flour, oatmeal, black treacle and syrup and baked in the family bakery!

Lottie Shaw Yorkshire Parkin won Best Bakery Product 2013/2014  and Supreme Product at the Deliciously Yorkshire Awards and has now won a 2018 Great Taste Award.

One of the Seriously Good things about this Yorkshire Parkin is that the treacle in the recipe caramelises and hardens during baking, so before it leaves the bakery it is kept for a few days to allow it to “come again” – this is where the caramel softens giving each piece the perfect crumbly stickiness. There are no artificial life enhancing ingredients in our Yorkshire Parkin yet the syrup preserves the cake for up to 12 weeks from baking.
